Miss Wisconsin Crowned Miss America [Video]

Well, a whole-hearted “Congratulations!” goes out to Miss Wisconsin, Laura Kaeppeler.  Miss Kaeppeler  has been crowned Miss America for the year 2012.  This is great news for her and for the state of Wisconsin.  She competed against 52 other gorgeous women from across the country to win the ever-coveted, jewel-encrusted tiara.

Miss Wisconsin Crowned Miss America [Video]Miss Kaeppeler (not to be confused with the Kepler satellite) deserved it.  Any one of the 53 lovely ladies would have been a fine fit for the diamond top.  All of the contestants have gone through the rungs of pageantry and have been trained well.  I am not too sure where her politics lie, as Kaeppeler gave a kind “no thank you” to the question on revealing her political leanings to the judges when asked.  This is not such a terrible circumstance.  I am sure no one minds not knowing whether she is a Republican or a Democrat.  As Kaeppeler puts it, “Miss America represents everyone.”  She went on to explain, “I think the message to political candidates is that they represent everyone as well.”  Thank you, Miss Kaeppeler, for that polite response.

Answering questions is a staple in the pageant world.  Watching and listening to the response is half the fun.  Well coached Kaeppeler did well.  I am not sure where she stands on evolution.  I’ve found this video montage of Miss USA contestants from last year.  Please be sure not to confuse this with Miss America.  It is a nation-wide pageant, nonetheless.  It was assembled by the intrepid reporter, Rich Abdill.  Watch it.  It’s fun.  Congratulations Miss Kaeppeler on your outstanding win.
