Tiny Transistor
If you look closely you will still be unable to see this latest step in micro-computing. Nanotechnology is getting another step closer to making me a computer small enough to lug around without me having to use the word lug in my description for carrying it. It is nanotechnology and it is in accordance with Moore’s Law on technology getting better, faster.
The impossible leaps taken by science in the hopes of improving existing technology is an exciting field of research. This latest breakthrough brings us a transistor used for sending electronic signals within the realm of quantum science on the scale the size of a few atoms.  This is due to the brilliant research from scientist Michelle Simmons, of the University of New South Wales in Sydney, head of the Australian Centre of Excellence for Quantum Computation and Communication Technology. Essentially, atoms have been manipulated in such a way that the electronic message has shifted from one atom to another. Behold! This is the all new nano-transistor! Such advancements will bring us smaller, faster computing power on a scale that is so large, that it’s minuscule.
Sadly, I must wait for this advancement in the world of awesome until it arrives on store shelves. The power of nanotechnology has already been seen with the development of the small storage device that is also merely several atoms wide. I wonder where this nanotechnology future will go next.  I suppose we will have to wait and watch what happens next.
